The people of State Center purchased and preserved the historic Watson's Grocery Store on Main Street. The store is a museum of what was commonplace around 1897. The store was in operation till the 1980's. |

The one room school house was moved to this location. It is complete with a dunce cap, desks, and a well out front. |

Our last tour of the day was the Marshall County Jail. This is the room where the prisioners have their day in court. They are in the jail and the judge is in the County Courthouse in Marahalltown, IA. |
